Tumult

Tumult
by Ch'erie de Perrot

In this world today.....

Glassy eyed Amoeba's

flapping furiously, as

a peacock in mating season,

a must have in the attention

seeking status of the world they frequent!

Rivers run Red, with blood of ghosts

gone and present, where once corn fields

thrived, feeding multitudes,closeby,

far and abroad.

Earth heaves N Yores, neath

the weight of it's oppressorsl

long since desensitized to the cries

of restoration, slowly, but surely

succumbing, fragmenting!

All eyes focus upon the square black object

of infernal entertainment, offering only the obvious,

 precious little of the real

reality, peril, swelling deep with the bossom

of the ground below, the sky above.

All life has become a drunken numbness

resigned to it's fate, acceptance of the impending,

painted with Amaranth, seeing all, yet seeing no thing

beyond hedonistic ideals, narcissistic reflections.

With all dreams, come nightmares,

The Alarm will always sound, in early morn

shattering the senses to the crisp reality

of frozen decisions, with no sun to thaw

or alter the course from which they stayed.
